One week update

Ok...I didn't do all I should have this week. But I weighed in this morning at 278 lbs. 2 pounds down. I'll take it. This week is Thanksgiving...so next week I will get really focused.

One Week Later

I weighed myself at work on Friday, and I would appear to have lost about 4 lbs already. I haven't been as strict on the diet today, but I haven't gone out and got a cheeseburger or anything. Just wanted to update my progress, I have a long ways to go, but am off to a good start.

Day One, My Plan

My starting weight is 224. I plan to take digestive enzymes so that my body can process my food better. I also plan to drink my 8 eight ounce glasses of water per day plus one glass of water for every 25lbs I plan to loose and one glass of water for every soda that I drink. I plan to eat more often in smaller amounts. If I get hungry in between meals, I plan to eat fruit to tide me over. My typical day will probably include cereal for breakfast, salad for lunch and grilled or baked chicken for dinner with a veggie on the side but if something else looks or sounds good, I won't beat myself up over it, just eat a small portion. I do plan to cut way back on the sodas, that will probably make a big difference in itself. Lastly but also important I plan to excersize three to four times a week and try to take the stairs to my office when I can. My goal weight is 150lbs.

My goal

I am starting off at 280 lbs. My goal is to weigh 175 by the time we elect a new President. I am going to exercise and eat proper amounts of the normal foods I enjoy.

My strategy.

I am starting at 345 pounds. I have the most to lose, as I need to drop 125 pounds to reach my optimal weight. My strategy will be a combination of optimizing my digestion and metabolism, as well as eating healthier with smaller portions. I started off today with a visit to the grocery store and bought mostly chicken and fruit. I plan on eating bran flakes for breakfast most days, with apples and other fruit for snacks. I will be eating organic wraps with lunchmeats and pepper jack cheese for lunches. My dinner will be grilled chicken and veggies. I find it is easier to diet with a small selection that is easy to prepare vs a ton of options that can be difficult to prepare. I will also be eating some digestive enzymes with my meals, as I have read that they are good for improving digestive processes and metabolism, and can assist in cleaning out junk left in the colon.

First Post

I am excited to do this. I only need to lose a little over 125 lbs. Woohoo. I added some tools to the top to help and and it would appear that I am level 3 obese. Woohoo!
We have taken some "before" photos, that will hopefully have some good "after" photos to go with them in the near future.
